That One Green Energy Company

I knew nothing about Solyndra, that one solar company that received a $500 million loan from the government and is now bankrupt. If you're like me, you may find this video informative.

This video provides a little background and little slant. Still a nice, under 2 minute explanation.

Perhaps Matt Reno has some insight as well.

Wait, that wasn't that informative at all. It just accuses and leaves a lot unanswered.
I understand there's more out there, but that wasn't that holistic of a video.

Wow, nothing like being put on the spot. Or maybe I should be excited to get a shout-out on a popular political blog.

There have been several of these solar manufactoring companies that have gone out of business recently. The market was saturated with startup companies and is now balancing out. I have to say that I'm all for government funding research and investing in new technologies. I don't really think that the government taking on the risks so that businesses don't have to is a good thing though. Seems like there is much better ways to spur innovation and jobs.
