People are still fighting and protesting against those governments. While still a news presence, definitely not as front page worthy what with our current government issues.
I was reminded of their struggles by this article on Libya and this one about Syria.
Also, Japan is still dealing with the aftermath of the earthquake and reactor radiation leaks, although it's difficult to find updates on cleanup from the tsunami.
